SOUPERFIT INTRODUCES SOUPERFIT KIDS!

Souperfit Kids announcement:
Souperfit is pleased to announce we will be adding a 10-12 year-old age group to our August camp this year. We have had many parents ask about something for their future athletes as well as their youngsters who need some motivation & direction as far as their fitness is concerned. We are happy to help. Souperfit is extremely excited to announce the launch of Souperfit Kids; An exercise program created specifically for the future athlete and health enthusiast in your family. Boys and girls between the ages of 6-12 are welcomed to come and enjoy an interesting, challenging, and FUN workout designed to get kids excited about health and fitness at an early age.

The sooner children are exposed to a new idea or concept, the more likely they will retain it and make that concept a part of their everyday lives. Fitness is no exception!

Childhood obesity due to poor diet and inactivity is at an all-time high. If children can see and feel the benefits of exercise & how much fun they can have while doing it, they are much more likely to stay active throughout their lives. This will enable them to avoid many of the health problems caused by lack of physical activity that afflict so many of our children (and adults!) today.

Our Program

So how do we do it? Our program focuses on strength, flexibility, balance, & agility through fun activities and exercises. Some of the activities we employ are:

  • Dynamic & static stretching
  • Calisthenics
  • Core strength exercises
  • Balancing activities
  • Agility drills
  • Modified Yoga
  • Hand-eye coordination activities
  • Age appropriate functional & whole body strength activities

We are planning on offering a 6 week session that meets twice a week for 1 & ½ hours at a time. We anticipate the first session to cost approximately $100, to start sometime in early September and to finish in mid October. Additional sessions will be announced as demand dictates. Dates, times, and Wilmington area locations will be determined soon, hopefully with your input!
